Before we dive into a visual understanding of Exodus lets watch a brief video about how the scriptures where intended to be something we were to meditate on over the course of our lives. These writings are to be different from other writings in that they were to be read over and over and over again. This meditation on the scriptures and the stories contained in them, when combined with life experience unfolding over time would lead to a perspective that would reveal wisdom.
In the book of Proverbs Wisdom is metaphorically personified as a woman who says:
"I, wisdom, live together with good judgement. I possess knowledge and discernment."You see, the scriptures were never intended to be a book of easy answers, in fact often stories and accounts bring even more questions than they do answers. Over time, and when combined with a humble and willing heart, wisdom enters the heart and God continues to reveal Himself to us through renewed perspectives.
The next video is all about seeing the Bible as Jewish Meditation literature.
